Lets do some Plastic bottle Diy

Fellows!

Do you have kids? If you have this is awesome Diy for birthday parties or why not also for adult parties. These little fellows are so adorable and funny that I am sure kids like them. You can put inside also little gifts or why not use them as vases on table for the snacks.

You will need for this DIY :
 scissors
2 empty plastic bottle
zipper
hot glue gun
felt
spray paint (not necessary)
wool
needle for making holes into bottle

This is what you need!
First cut the ends of the bottle, they need to be the same size

Cuted bottle ends
take a candle and take your needle or other iron nail. make it hot with the candle flame and start to make holes for one bottle end do not burn your hands. This is for making the hair so this side is going to be on top. Making holes leaves some black residue of the plastic that's why you need to do it before you start to paint.

Ups I did it upside down

Now you can paint both of the sides, and wait until they dry. Meantime you can cut out from felt some eyes, maybe some lips, teeth, tongue, feet. like this

some mustache

Starting to glue things together.
Next step is to glue all things together. Take your zipper end and start to glue it near the bottle edge. Go around this way, until you are beginning of your zipper. Open it up and take another part and start to glue. when you have done start to put some eyes on it etc. pay attention to turn the hole part on top. I had few times when I made it upside down :(.

Now take your needle and some wool and start to make hair. Your decision what kind of hair you want to make. have fun :)

This is with the rolling eyes but the fall off quickly

Hello Hello, Haven't been here for a long time. With a 3 year old girl and work need to be done life is chaotically busy. Also the Easter bunnies didn't leave us alone. From egg blowing to coloring with my tesoro.

You can bee more creative to add different colours, you can sew some stones on, or whatever you find in your household.

Anyway this beautiful dress I made for my babe from Old men shirt. As I have lot of old clothes and I don't have courage to throw or give them away I have found more fun way to keep them. And no other baby have the  same kind of dress :). Its like a being little bit like a fashion designer or what? !! it is hilarious when my girl sees the dress she recognize and say "daddys shirt in half" Finnish-Estonian and Italian language. Must have brain storm in her head. Good Good.. :)  here is one great video to learn how to do it

Buongiorno a tutti, Hello everyone. I will show you my Key Catcher on my wall. As it is rainy day. I decided to do some rainy stuff ;)As I am key loser, and I like to throw my keys I think this pillow will help me to find and keep safe my home keyes. So this it what its look alike..

key catcher
You will need:

magnets
fabric
velcro tape with adhesive sticky 2 side tape
sewing machine or you can also do it by hand
some pillow fillings, u can use also old clothes, plastic bags etc.
Some creativity

First step is to draw your shape about the pillow what should it look like. I made cloud shape, but you can use whatever shape you like.( Heart, star, moon, ball, cube etc).

Cloud Shape

Then cut the shape out by laying the cloud shape on the fabric. Be sure it is in 2 layers. Help to stay your paper shape firm with pins.

Cutting out the cloud

Now sew it around with sewing machine and leave little hole somepart. Dont forget to nip with scissors the parts of V. This way your cloud take better shape.

Fillings

Fill it with a Pillow material or other stuff you can use. When you have give a great shape for your pillow sew the hole with hands or with machine.

Magnets

Decide how many magnets you like to put on your pillow. If you like to throw your keys I suggest to put little bit more than 1.

Now cut round shapes 2 times bigger than magnet size and cover them up with fabric.  Tie up with some thread. Cut the rest of the button. Should look like this

Magnet button

Sew them now through the pillow. like this

Buttoning

Then when you have all magnets on your pillow turn it around and add velcro tape. You are now ready to fix it on your wall. Lets throw some keyes.. :)

Save your children drawings DIY

I have a Child who likes to draw  a lot, actually I don't know any child who doesn't like. With time, unfortunately these art pieces get lost. but theres is one great way to save some of them. As we don't have any art on our wall I decided to call my girl to do some of the Acquarelle on the paper.  I have noticed that she likes a lot of the colours like green, turquoise, and blue.  Thats great and it goes with our wall very fabulously. This is how you do it..

Michelangelo :)

you need :

lot of drawings
some forms, rounded , square etc.
frame ( I bought mine at Ikea 8eur)
scissors
glue

Decide what forms you want to give for your art pieces, I chose rounded. Then take some object to draw over the art pieces and then cut them off. Then glue them how do you like it on the plain paper that has the measure of your frame and you are done.

Plastiline cans do the job
Hope you like it, don't forget to put date on it. Nice memories for you and your child :)

Before and after (Crib into Desk)

As I have lot of going on, I barely have time to come here to update things what I have been up to. Anyway today  I mad some photos about my 2 month project. My babys crib has been pimped. It has served us many years and now serve another years. Best part is that I haven't spend money or new materials. All stuff in that Crib is from our used stuff.  My girl is glued into that desk, very happy and find always to do over that desk.

The crib itself we bought it from Ikea. As the mattress is small and I will makeover also that. But first my Crib before

Our Babys Crib when she was tiny :)

And now when I have pimped it :)

Desk for my pumpkin
So I put some detail photos as well, if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask!!

I used materials as Tomato cans, turned them into pencil holders.

Tomato Cans in their beauty
As we drink wine Red wine, obviously we are in Italy so I used my wine wooden box for making secret drawer for butting some girly stuff into it. I painted it and under the drawer I had some Ikea spice bottles that has been useless in my house so they have now also function. Conserve the residues of Chalk.

Wine bottle box changed into drawer

So next step was to change my flower pot into writing lamp, and the wine corks into cool hooks.

wine cork hooks and my turkish hat lamp
I have made Diy Lamp before there are some instructions how to :)

It 's time for Tip Monday. This time I will give you tip about nylon tights.

Every woman has in her house pair of nylon tights right. Have you ever wondered what you can do with this thin material.

Nylon

Find parts from your jewellery

tiny parts are safe

Have you ever crawled on your knees  looking around your tiny parts of your jewellery? there is an easier way to find them, just put piece of your nylon stockings around the pipe of the vacuum cleaner and suck your parts, they remains on the surface of the nylon sock. :)  (also work for kids little pieces of lego etc.)

Make your Shoes shine like a diamond

Make your waxed shoes shine with piece of Nylon tights. It makes it so brilliant that you might get rid of your old chammy forever.

Remove your nail lacquer

If you forget to buy cotton balls then don't get upset, just use piece of tights and remove your nail lacquer with that. You might never buy cotton balls ever again ;)

Organize your suitcase

everyone knows when you roll your clothes you get more space in your suitcase. For preventing that your clothes does not open during the travel use your tights to wrap your clothes. This way they stay nicely firmed and more organized.

Have a spa at your bathroom

Next time you take a bath slice some dried lemon and Orange peel into nylon tights in to foot part. Make a knot and cut of the rest. Put it in your bath water and enjoy, you can also peel your skin with the citrus bag.

Make a elastic band for your hair

Cut some 8 cm large pieces from your old nylon tight at the leg part. Twist it around your hair and you have homemade elastic band ready to go.

DIY HANGING VASE POT LAMP

Do you have flower pots that are useless, but you don't want to throw them away??  I had this pot in my balcony for many years. as it was red it didn't blend into my interior but now i needed lamp for my 3 year old girl and I had another idea to use this vase.great  :) Make  cool hanging or even wall lamp.. I have pleasure to share with you :)

Hanging around on my clothes branch

OH light  oh light
You will need :
pen
pot, or old vase
old light cord
led bulb!!!
sandpaper
drill
some chain or yarn etc. (what you can find)

Ok first thing to do is to make hole into vase. take a pen and copy the diameter of the light insert into the vase. Start to drill gently the little holes into rounded area. BE GENTLE otherwise can break very easily. With the sandpaper go around the hole and try the insert, does it go inside. If not sandpaper from the spot that needed. It should look like this... you can make two holes little bit away from center to hang the lamp from that.

Hole in
Then when it fits, find some chain or yarn or I used old chain. This is because the vase is little bit heavy to hang on his own. Make sure you put led bulb, this way the lamp does not get hot and led bulbs are more eco friendly ;) your lamp is ready enjoy

DIY BOHO bracelet for the beach

One day I was digging my office accessories like the plastic envelopes, one of them was broken so my lightbulb in my head started to flash. As I have finished also my crochet bikini for the summer and I had some leftover cotton to create these Positano Amalfi coast style. (Yes already my head on the beach but soon soon.) :)
 HERE WE GO!!
Old pears are fabulous to create new stuff

Some Tassels
Be original :)

Summer breeze

For the bracelet you will need :
Plastic envelopes or other plastic material
paper hole maker
some old bracelets, stones, pearls etc.
jewellery closing locks
scissors
some cotton yarn
creativity
crochet hook, I used 2,50 mm

DIY BOHO

Start to make some holes into plastic envelope, you can practice on paper first. I used only one hole maker. If you use both holes doesn't come out very linear way. So Practice before. to get linear holes, see the hole that you have made near the edge of the holemaker to make second hole, this way the spacing remains the same between the holes about 1 cm. As you can see on the photo I don't cut straight.

HOLING :)

Next step, cut the plastic, snap also the end of the plastic.(white part) You should have now double length plastic ribbon.

Cutting the form
Shell Stitch
Start to make Shell Stitch Around the plastic ribbon. Make 5 Shell stitch every hole.

Shell Stitching
When you have go around the ribbon cast off the endings. Now you can get creative, you can make some braided cotton and add it to your bracelet into the holes. Add some stones and pearls or whatever you want. Best thing is that you can co into water with these double bracelets. :) Until waiting the summer...

Here are some photos about this amazing place like Amalfi Coast, I am a lucky to live near here :)
