Finally in Finland

We are here finally with the pumpkin. :) It is so good to speak Finnish for long time I already called to my friends to catch up the life. So exited... There was a snow but it melted away yesterday with all that water but still hoping to see some snow. And it is so quiet here, comparing to Italy my ears can relax here ;)  
It's about - 2 grades here, nice fresh air to breath!!

I dont Believe it

I'm still here in Salerno. I should been again in Finland at this point but there was Transportation strike in Rome. So my flight was cancelled.  Even the stuarts did not know about the strike. They were making already check- in for people. HAHAHA I just laugh we are in ITALY. 

Anyway long way again this time with car. I try tomorrow again. this point I can say MAMMA MIA! 

While staying at home had great Ideas again to make Wood stitching pot coasters. The wood is leftover from carpenter studio and the wool is leftover from beanie that I made for my toddler. As you can see making morning coffee with Mr.Bialetti deserves freshly made coaster under it.

Sorry about my English :)

I need to say that I keep up this blog in English because it is only way I can practise it here as I'm getting to lose it. Here in Italy all the programs and films are in Italian. And italians doesn't speak English at least here in Salerno. So this is good way to keep up language.

Candles for these cold evenings

I cleaned up my House and I found some candle leftovers, in my girls room I took some broken crayon colours I wanted to create new candles with these colours. First I wanted to do some experiment. What If I mix some vegetal butter in melted candles?  Yes It worked only the colour of crayon as I think the wax in there is heavier so it didn't mix with candles, it only got down from my mold.                                                                                                                                                               I wanted to do some plastic cup mold candles so I littlebit squeezed them to have cool look. And here they are :)

New Ideas

I have had lot of new Ideas to create. As I have 3 year old little girl she has lot of toys in her room. Unfortunately she is not playing with all. I had an Idea to make statue about Plastic elephant toy and plastic tigre as bookholder. They are very cool now and have another purpose also. 

Yesterday I went one Store that sell decorations and home supplies and furnitures. I Wanted to ask if they could take my works in their shop for selling them. I also told no need money now. I told them if somebody wants to buy then they could pay me. First they were really interested and  I showed some pictures. But something happened when I told them that all staff is recycled. They didn't want talk anymore or even see the photos.  Is the word recycle so ugly word that people doesn't understand meaning and the beauty of it?  Or is it ego that thinks I am too good for old stuff, I deserve new.  It was old until I made it new...I felt really  disappointed.  Anyway here are some new products from old stuff ;)

I should Be in Finland today But I'm not .WE LOST IT yeah. And I forgot Passport of the dog at home. The day started already very bad, Instead of listening one lady who told on the train that without passport you can't pass. There is always sign before things happens. I said her that I have copies about the passport and we decided to go in a hard way.  Anyway already the train from Salerno to Rome was late not to mention that we missed also the next train Leonardo da Vinci  to the airport.  Me, my 3- year old girl and little yorkshire toy  and  20 kg heavy luggage. The day was nightmare and very rainy also. 

When finally we were at home we just eat  something and we went directly to sleep, and we slept and slept like never before.  We try this friday again but with car this time. Also I had to pay new ticket again. 

Anyway I have one week to create new fabulous project and finish them before we  leave Italy.

This vase is made also with Spice Bottle and ceramic powder. Its also smells cinnamon. I mixed some powder with cinnamon to colour the upper part of the base.

 I have vases for big bokeh flowers but not for single flowers so this is great way to use materials from home. without making trash and 
without paying fortune.

Product producing

This morning when I woke up I had an brilliant idea, As I use for my daily routine biological/ ecological eye cream, I have read that castor oil is good for your lashes, it help them to grow and be fuller. I used it sometimes before I went to sleep but usually I woke up with all that puffiness around my eyes. Anyway I put only few drops  into my eye cream and mix it together and using this at morning, results are fantastic.. My lashes are full and long :).

Anyway today I have came up to cover my huge Olive glass container. I used old dress to cover my Miss Lilly vase.

My Produzione

My first showcase for the product I made, all products are recycled. I had a Ceramic moulding powder in my closet for a very very long time. I didn't know what to do about it. And few days ago I came across to an idea to make christmas tree decorations. My mom sending me lot of stuff all the time and the chocolate boxes are often number one product. I had an idea to make chocolate form decorations. I took the plastic mould off from the box and filled with ceramic powder liquid. They are so cute.. :) 

I had also gift boxes that were useless until now. I decorated them with Christmas theme and they came out really nice.

 Launching new brand

 I have been working with my own brand for a long time, as I'am designer my head does not stop to think about to create. Also thanks to my friends and family to pushing me on the limit. As I do lot of stuff at home from already used product I would like to share my ideas with other people. I am constantly against myself when needed to design something new and with new materials. Today as we using our planet home as a toilet I get pleasure to work with all that shit :). 

Later on I will do Another blog for only my new Brand, and designs. But for now I need to get work.

Super Power from Super Food

Good Morning, 

It is a rainy sunny day here in Salerno, Very humid indeed. Well my girl is in preschool and I' am alone. Time for coffee and my regular breakfast. as I am lazy to prepare any breakfast (sure for baby I do) and I don't feel hungry at the mornings as italians eat very very late.  My breakfast includes Spirulina and Goji berries. Later during the day also take Maca. WOW Superwoman.. :) 

Well my Super Food comes from Canada, isn't that funny? In italy everything cost lot of money. And Super foods are for gold diggers here. You don't find them easily and when you find you have to pay a fortune. My gold comes from here www.iherb.com . 

I like the site because it is working with feedbacks and stars. you can leave your feedback about the products you are consuming  and the site is very easy to use.   For my toddler I give Chia seeds in freshly made Carrot juice. I put chia seeds into water for about 15 minutes. then I make Carrot juice and put them into blender. This way my girl gets more vitamins from it as the blender breaks the hard shell from the seeds.

Somehow the Super Food life has become  a fashion. You see lot of photos posing with superfoods and all stuff that makes your body shine. But many people forget the soul that runs into that body. Chasing perfect fit for the name of HEALTH. Forgetting that the Soul needs more help than that body!!

Moss Stitch Cardigan

WhoA WhOa! I made it.. My first Cardigan ever I finished today. Never done before Moss Stich and it was a great challenge.

Actually the wool is coming from next door Italian grandma's apartment. She is 93 year old lady Maria. She is old but her brain isn't. Little clever lady who is calling my name every morning to get some news or gossip whats going on. Her legs doesn't help her but sure her brain does. :) And after asking everyday what I am going to do with all that wool? ´´ cosa fai con questa lana? ´´  and this is the answer.

I am Laura Maria From Finland. Wait no. I have born in Estonia Tallinn. Yes!  I am a lucky girl or a woman in these days. In Estonia lives only 1 million persons. Today I live in Italy already six amazing years. I have Finnish passport and my family lives in Turku, not in Turkey. The little city in Santa Claus homeland.

I am 33 year old woman in Salerno. I have 3- year old little peperoncino girl, half Italian and finnish/estonian mixture. I have also one Yorkie girl named Camilla and My Italian blood Casanova MAN next to me. Oh and not to forget the goldfish Rambo.

  My work is to create, as I am Designer, Graphic designer DIY person FREELANCER. Naturally I am chained with all things beautiful and intelligent. I love to take photos, I am kind of culinarist in a simple way.
